Putting Green Installation

You can install your synthetic putting green using a base of concrete, asphalt, crushed rock & crushed limestone or just crushed limestone.   Concrete is the best and also the most expensive.  Most people prefer to construct their base using crushed limestone because it is the most economical.  When using a concrete base, you should follow the appropriate steps below except the concrete should be formed to comply with the desired size of the green and step 5 should be done before the concrete hardens. You should also consider the contour of the green before pouring the concrete.

Concrete is recommended as the first choice for a base.  If you choose not to use concrete, then it is recommended that you use 4" of crushed rock or aggregate, topped with 4" of crushed limestone, when installing an artificial putting green sub-base.  However, most people choose to use only the 4" of crushed limestone  for the sub-base.  Therefore, our instructions are for constructing your sub-base using 4" of crushed limestone.  

Installation of our outdoor putting greens using the crushed limestone base is fairly easy.  The instructions make the installation simple and easy to enable the average home owner to install it himself.  Installation of the home putting green usually takes one or two days, and you probably already own most of the tools needed.
