Putting Green Installation

11.  Landscaping the Turf

Several forms of landscaping fringe can be added to the perimeter of your new golf putting green.  You can choose from:

     1.     Sod
     2.     One of our fringe materials
     3.     Small landscape stones
     4.     Larger stone or brick
     5.     Mulch material
     6.     Railroad ties or similar wood border

1.  The easiest method of landscaping around your new synthetic putting green would be to sod up to the turf and let the sod overlay the turf about one 1-2 inches.

2.  If you choose one of our fringe materials, you can glue it to the perimeter of the turf.  You can overlay your turf onto the fringe and cut through the fringe material along the edge of your turf.   You must preplan additional sub-base to add fringe material.

3.  Small landscape stones are very common.  Remember to insert weed barrier under the stones.

4.  You can use bricks or large stones to create a fringe for your putting green.  You can leave them loose or seal them together.  You should plan for the brick or stone when designing your sub-base.

5.  We don't recommend mulch material because it is to messy for your backyard putting greens.
